Significance of Countrywide Property v. Wal-Mart Property
See, here's the thing. We know SCE is always looking for office space in the area. They're renting, leasing, and buying buildings all over the region. So you really need to ask yourself why they didn't just build another building on the Wal-Mart property when they had a chance. Could it be because there's a fault running right down the middle of the lot, and SCE doesn't want its workers to get crushed when their building collapses?
