Shuey's principal, Carlos Moran, sent a letter home with kids, mailed a letter to nearby addresses, and placed flyers on the doors of nearby homes. He reported three recent break-ins at the school: The weekend of 1/23-24, 1/30-31, and on the morning of 2/4.
He asks people living or driving near this school to report any suspicious activities to the Sheriff's Department at 626-285-7171, or dial 911. He also says NO ONE, including factulty and staff, should be at the school during the weekend.
It probably goes without saying that people living near other schools should also be on the look out for suspicious activities.
